Frequently asked questions

Starting with the most frequent one: why your own test in ChatGPT will give something else.

The AI knows you

When you ask it, it has your history, your location, your habits. It answers you. We ask the same question with no past and no profile, so the answer can be compared from one week to the next.

Naming yourself isn’t being found

If you put your name in the question, the AI will almost always find you. That says nothing about how often you come up. What counts is what it answers a visitor who doesn’t know you yet and only describes what they need.

We ask cold, always the same way

Same question, same wording, same time of week. That’s what makes a change readable: if the number moves, the world moved, not the way we asked.

Why say where I want to show up?

Because the answer changes with the place. Asked with no place, the question often brings up the big global names; asked for a country, a state or a city, it brings up the sites from there. You choose: everywhere, or as precise as you like.

Why isn’t there a mark out of a hundred?

No mark out of a hundred. On two questions a number would mean nothing — we’d rather show you the answers.

Is this about ranking on Google?

No. Classic search optimisation targets a list of links; here, an AI writes an answer and brings out a few sites. The rules aren’t the same, and most of the old tactics don’t carry over — repeating keywords, for instance, has a negative effect.

How long does it take?

The free analysis: under a minute, a first fact in under ten seconds. Tracking over time: a few minutes to confirm your details, then everything runs without you.

What do you do with my data?

We read your site’s public pages, nothing else. A free-scan visitor’s network address is never kept in clear text. The AIs’ answers are kept as is so you can read them again.
